Island of Mljet excursion
Some consider while describing the enchanted island of Ogygia, Odysseus and nymph Calypso, Homer must have had in mind the island of Mljet. This of course, cannot be proved, but there is no doubt, however, that some of the poet's descriptions suit perfectly this island.
Mljet is situated an 45min boat ride by our boat from Dubrovnik towards island of Korcula.
National Park is situated on the western part of Mljet and takes 1/3 part of the whole island. It's charaterized by two salt-water lakes, Veliko i Malo jezero (Great and Small Lake). In one of the lakes there is a tiny island called Melita (Mljet) with 12th century Benedictine monastery.
During our cruise you'll visit bay of Limuni (sandy beach sometimes called lagoon on Mljet), the Odysseus cave, National Park, lots of small villages and lovely spots to enoy peace, silence and colors of the sea not easy to find on the whole Croatian Adriatic.
